To all the expectant Moms and new Moms congratulations. I wish you could all have the mat leave you deserve - 1 year. I think you are all amazing for going back to work so soon after having your little one. I know it is a business/finance decision, but birthing is hard so take care of yourselves and take all the pampering that comes your way.

    Congratulations!!!!!

I'm also Pregnant and due end of June

I'm having a hard time finding clients because of being pregnant!! I was only going to take 2 weeks off and that seems to be "too much". It's rather annoying. What are your tips to getting these 5 interviews?? LOL

Congratulations! so happy for you! do what you need to do, if anyone has a real beef they're not worth keeping IMO. What a happy time for you, and anyone who brings their child to a private day home must understand the main reason we all chose to do it.....to be there for OUR families first a foremost! take your month off, or more, the good ones will stick around for you!

Its never easy having a baby and a daycare. I know there are lots who do it but it is hard. I had my hubby take parental leave and help me out but it was hard. I lost my clients before the baby was born but I was also moving so that didn't help. (I'm not sure if they would have stayed or not if I wasn't moving) I took 2 months off even with hubby home and started up with my new clients after my little maternity leave. My new clients have been amazing in understanding that there are times when we cannot go outside because its just too cold for the baby. I think as long as you are open with your clientele about your situation and find the right people who understand it makes it easier. I sometimes feel guilty about not doing as many crafts and activities because of the baby but my clients are ok with it. So all is good! Congrats to everyone having a baby in 2013!

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
