    *Update*

    So I sent the e-mail and followed up with a phone call. They're disappointed, but they took it really well. I wasn't expecting them to get rude or anything, but I knew they'd be sad which is sometimes even harder to deal with than people reacting badly, you know? Anyway, I'll miss them, but now that they know and I know I'm not going to change my mind, I'm looking forward to being done.
