    I ask for ID too and when the parent informs me that someone else will be picking up I tell them then to make sure the person brings their ID in with them That way they are prepared ahead of time and there is no embarrassment

    I always let the client know ahead of time as well. I may make a joke about it to the grandparent when they pick up. "Did your daughter let you know that I need to see ID? I just want to make sure you're not a nana impersonator LOL " They often just laugh and hand it to me.
