I guess it would consitute as really loose stools then. It didn't escape the diaper, but was very close to doing it. He refused his snack (which NEVER happens), and he randomly started tearing up this afternoon. I told dck's parent and I was informed that dck's mom has been home sick all week with a nasty cold... I think he's probably coming down with it. If that's the case, I hope they keep him home tomorrow :S

If mom has been home sick all week and he had those symptoms today, then I don't think I'd give them any choice about keeping him home tomorrow. If it was bad enough to keep mom home, you don't need those germs in your home!

You get to know your daycare children well, including their diapers so you know when a child is sick. One poop blast out of the diaper that isn't normal and a child who is OFF and I call that diarrhea and sickness. I will call for the child to be picked up after one of those, not 2 or 3! Especially if I knew someone else in the family just had the flu.
