That seems pretty strange for a parent to correspond for a few weeks and not show or say a peep.

In any case - make like a duck with water and try to let it slide off your back. That would have made for an unreliable client anyways. Try to not overthink it.

It really sucks though. I know the feeling. I have been stood up before and it is such a waste of time and very disrespectful/insulting
