Well private daycares are "legal" businesses, so that doesn't even make sense. None of the companies I talked to said anything about whether or not I had a registered business name.

If you are a legal business, then you need commercial liability insurance, and they told me it ranged from like 700-1000 dollars. Fine if you make a ton of money, but i don't, i barely made 9 grand last year but In my honest opinion, i would pay it because i feel it's better to be safe than sorry.

My Td Meloche Monnex covers me because I always only have 6 at any given time. One of my clients is a teacher and my oldest son goes to school (he leaves on the bus at 7:50 and DCB comes at 8:15 and my son gets home at 3:55 after DCB gets picked up at 3:45) He is not here in the summer or March Break or Christmas break or PD days when my son is here. Even though I have 5 registered kids plus two of my own I always only have a max of 6 at any given time. I told them this but didn't realize they had a max because they said all was good to me!
If I ever lose Teachers son I guess I will have to shop around!
I have been meaning to write you torontokids. Sorry it has taken me so long.
