What a great idea! I too would keep them & wash (things tend to go missing when sent home). As well, if you keep them, perhaps you can use them for the next child too! As for size, you can order big and tuck or tie. Love Vistaprint....keep an eye out for T-shirt deals. I have found if I leave things 'in my cart' on their website they offer further discounts!
