Advice for Parents on how to ease the transition of their little one?

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on suggestions I can give parents to help them prepare their little one for daycare? I would like to draft a standard list of suggestions that I provide to new clients.
    Thanks!

I just found this thread, which has great tips by mom-in-alberta: http://www.daycarebear.ca/forum/show...-group-daycare

    Anyone else have any suggestions?

This is on my to-do list too! So far I have (in no specific order) 1) have the child get on dc schedule 2)help them to develop self soothing techniques (let them CIO) 3) encourage indep by not picking up right away.

A few tips...

If you visited or if you're using a childcare provider found on DaycareBear, do not hesitate to leave a review. This will most certainly help other parents!
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
