Oh I need to vent on this post too! Although it happened over a month ago... it still makes me very mad! Dcg vomits right before lunch and when I called mom at work, she tells me "oh yeah he vomited at home this morning too and I forgot to tell you". She went on explaining that she thought he was sick because of his very sensitive gag reflex (which he has) but never considered that he might have gotten the bug that she had for the past 2 days!!!!

I clearly told mom on the phone and dad at pickup that this situation was unacceptable and that regardless of there thoughts or deductions they were obliged to discuss this with me and it was my decision if I chose to take on the child or not.

It was a difficult situation because I truly did believe that they thought nothing of it, however the child was sick with fever and everything else for 3 days after the episode. I sent them a written letter clearly quoting my contract and sickness policy and noting how this puts everyone at risk.

So DeeDee, in my opinion you are not overreacting and you should address it both verbally and in written.
