I have some parents who linger some times...even some of the dads and it can be annoying. Sometimes I will go check on the other children and leave the child and the parent in the hallway themselves to get ready while I run to see what else is going on and then I come back to see if they are ready to go yet. It kind of works as a hint...but still parents can linger on.

The other annoying thing about lingering parents is almost like they want to talk more about their child's day but at that point, I have filled out my daily report and usually on the spot I go brain dead and couldn't tell you anything substantial about your child. By 5 pm my brain is mush.
