    Not a great start

    HELLO AGAIN LADIES

So my daycare opens at 630 am I have 1 dcg that comes right at opening time......some history......sometim es mom sleeps in and shows up 30 minutes late, other days she comes at 635,640 sometime on time @ 630 but usually its very inconsistent. That being said I am a night person I get everything ready the night before so I get out of bed brush my teeth and get dressed and put a pot of coffee on takes me 10 minutes to be ready in the am and I literally get up 10 minute before dcg arrives. This morning she come at 618 wtf I was still in bed and my alarm hadn't even gone off yet, I heard her pull into the driveway and ran to my closet and thru a t shirt on, not the way I like to start my day What would you do if this was you? let it go? Say something? I defiantly don,t want it to happen again.......advice please

I would let them know that you don't open until 6:30 and if they arrive before then they need to wait in the car. I have a separate daycare space (basement with separate entrance) so the parents know I am "open for business" when the lights are on, the blind is open and the entry way light is on.

I have an outside light and I have told my families that at 6:45 (my opening time)the light will go on ..... If the lights not on then you need to wait in your car. I have one family that used to come early all the time so I posted a note on the door and it never happened again.

It never happened to me but I would definitely say something. I could no tolerate that at all. I probably would have answered the door this time but would have told her that the door would be locked until opened hours and I would also let her know what I would have to start issuing late/early fees if she could not maintain her drop off time. I would talk to her and also put it in writing and hand it to her tonight.

I unlock my door at 7:30 when I open. I would not have rushed to get dressed and open the door. They can wait.

mommylove you can underline, highlight, or scream your opening time from the roof tops. These types of people need to be shown the rules. So do not open your door for her when she is early and if you allow her in before opening add a surcharge.

I probably wouldn't have opened my door. I would have probably snuck around quietly doing all of my stuff and answered at 6:30.

I understand early, I'm that person that is always 10 min early. But I would never go to someones home before expected that early in the morning.

Make sure you mention it, otherwise it will happen again.

Mommylove, it's physically painful for me to have to get out of my bed before 7am. I know this about myself so I open at 7:30 and if anyone wants a space with an earlier time then I have to tell them, sorry no. Maybe you should consider your limitations as well? Burnout and exhaustion in a HDCP is really bad so I'm not about to let that happen to me. Take care of YOU!
