The other interview went well, I thought. They sent an email with a few questions about the handbook, I replied, and then things went silent. I sent a follow up email (along the lines of "Hello? Anyone home?") and after 2 days I got a response. They loved me, loved the house, loved what we could offer their baby. But the distance was an issue, and there were a couple of daycare providers down the street that were cheaper as well. So most likely they are going with one of those.
Sigh. We live in a town that takes all of 15 minutes to cross from north to south. How bad can the commute be? I guess for some people convenience is more important than quality.
Yeah, I realize how bitter I sound. I feel really defeated at the moment. I'll get over it though. Thanks for asking, it's really sweet of you to remember the other interview!
