I am wondering if anyone else has used a home computer software package, like quicktax, to do their home daycare business taxes? I am wondering if it is straight forward and will be easy for me to understand what I can claim and how to do it all? Thanks,

Never used a package but really if you have all the numbers added up already then just filling in the T2125 form is not a big deal. More important to consider what program if any you are going to use to keep track of the receipts so you will have your numbers to use come tax time. Again my method is paper and pen and a partial excel spreadsheet for home utility expenses. I have been given a copy of Sage 50 and hoping to try using that for this year. First of course I have to load it on and input Jan - Mar.

I used turbo tax the business version online. I found it very easy to use and it does calculate the space % you use for daycare and does all the counting for you. I will do it again next year for sure. You can go online and you do not have to pay until you are ready to file so ...give it a try.
