I think that has happen to several of us. Parents wishing that their kid to be potty trained when they are not even ready... If they are very young I do not know what the rush is. Some think that their kids will look gifted if they get potty trained earlier. I had a very bright 2.5 yo boy (I think he had a very high IQ) that refused to potty. Her mom used to pushed him hard to do it. He only resisted it even more...
