Sorry to start the day off on a sour note, but I need to get this off my chest. I have an almost 3 year old girl in my care. Her parents came to me this A.M. and announced that she woke up dry this A.M. so she no longer needs to wear a diaper at naptime. Say what ? One dry night does not potty trained make. I tried a couple of naptimes last week with this child and she soaked her bed both times, so I am pretty sure that she's just not ready to be "dry" while she sleeps. It was a massive job to clean everything up, and I am NOT doing it again. This child will only be with me until the end of the month - her parents are going to have Gramma care for her. I'm not writing off a perfectly good playpen just because the parents want me to do the heavy lifting of potty training. Isn't it interesting how parents always seem to get the urge to master potty training when they're going to be changing a whole lot more of the diapers ?
