    20 month not talking

I have a dcb who is 20 month old and doesn't talk. All he says is daddy and makes a sounds like oh. It's drives me crazy cause I have no idea what he is needing/wanting and I find the other kids make the same sound when the boy is here. Any suggestions on what I can do to keep myself sane while he is here on Wednesday and Friday.
    Thanks ladies

It's frustrating, but there is not much you can "do" to make a child talk.
I am sure you are already talking him through things, and pointing out the names of objects, etc. Just keep that up. Encourage him to use his words (even if they aren't there yet). And I don't like when kids use grunts, etc. So I always say "No unh-unh's". I will try not to respond to the sounds unless necessary. Can/will he point? Does he seem to understand you?
There are many kids that don't seem to have any language, and then *poof* you can't get them to stop!! (I had one, LoL)

I have a dcb who's 21 months, and he has about 10 words, and he constantly repeats them. I feel ya. LOL

    It'll change, really quickly!
