    Please help!!!!!

    Hello ladies

I have a dcg whos now been with me for 2 month and is quite the handful (tantrums) but I deal with it well and try not to let it bother me.....but at around 1045 everyday dcg gets very very cranky (tired) usually we are outside at this time and usually we have to come in cause dcg wont stop crying so today we came in and I started to make lunch (pre prepped 5 minutes) and the entire time she is crying, I know that what I am serving (egg salad sand with cut up veggies) dcg doesnt like and I know she probably wont eat (but I serve it anyways) she throws a massive fit and throws all her food on the floor and screams so I put her to bed!!!

what should I do, if shes tired by 1045 and its so disruptive but nap time is at 12 30 most of the time dcg goes to sleep at 12 00 but usually its alot of the same thing everyday Im at my wits end dont know what to do SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!!!

Oh dcg is just over 1 year old
and I have tried 2 naps but its a fight to get her down for both the morning and the afternoon and again its very disruptive of our day......HELP

I had the same issues with one of my infants....I found the solution was to give him a small bottle of milk (about 3oz) shortly after snack time at 10:00am just to hold him over until lunch time and it worked out great. Good luck!

I'd be inclined to put her down for a 30 minute catnap much earlier say 9, so that when she is outside later she can make it to lunch with less dramatics. She may not sleep at first but even if you just treat it like a quite rest time it might help. Give it a try for a week to see if it makes a difference but it might take some time even beyond the week to see a change.

All my dcks arrive early before 730 so that means they are up around 6 am if thus is the case with your 12 month old then I would put her down around 8 or 830 and only for 30-45 mins then wake her up and go outside. This will hopefully get her though lunch and because its a short nap it shouldn't Intercede with the pm nap. I have one that is 18 months and he still sometimes needs that 30 mins in the am to get though the morning and I have another 15 month old that if he falls asleep in the am even for 15 mins there will be no pm nap. So every kid is different but you gotta try and see what works.... Also I would be clamping down on the food throwing ....

Will she go into a playpen if you take it outside and more or less settle for a rest on her own even if she doesn't sleep she is confined and movement is limited so she is more likely to get enough rest to cope and she still gets fresh air.

I have two 1 year olds that I put down for a morning nap as soon as they get here...around 8 or 8:30ish. They are both crank pots if I try and make them wait until afternoon nap....which I do early (12:30pm every day).
My daughter is 15 months and I am just fading out her morning nap...some days are super hard around that 10ish mark but this is when we go outside or for a walk and she is distracted enough but I usually have to put her down around 12ish and the rest of the crew around 12:30! Good luck!!

LIke the others said, I would get her having a morning nap at around 8:30 so that she is up by the time you want to go outside. She will get used to it. I would just let her sleep for 30-40 minutes so it doesn't mess up her afternoon nap. Overtied babies are no fun

What time is drop off and pick up?

I have all early arrivals between 6:45-7:30 so they are all woken up before 6am and still need a morning nap.
I agree with the others, try an early morning nap for 30-45 mins OR move up the afternoon nap. The defiance and acting out is definitely from fatigue.
    Good luck!
