I have a mom who drops her daughter off late almost every morning. Most mornings her daughter misses snack as we are done it when she arrives. I have told all parents that they can drop off between 7 am and 8am. She arrives any time between 8:10 and 8:50 (use to be up to 10am). This is really driving me crazy, am I just over reacting?
I understand that she might not work until later in the day, but I have a schedule and this keeps interfering. One day she almost missed us as we where heading out for a walk when she arrived.
I don't mind if a parent is late every once in awhile. We all have those days where we are running late. But this is 3 to 5 times a week. I have mentioned to her that this messes up the schedule and is hard on all the kids, but I think it is going in one ear and out the other. I am thinking about telling her that if she is not here by 8 am then I will not be answering my door. She will have to take her daughter home for the day. She really want to be able to drop off and pick up when ever she likes.
I had problems with her texting me during quiet time wanting to pick up. This seems to have stopped as I just kept texting her back saying: You can pick up at 3 pm when quiet time is over.
Starting in September I will be doing school drop and everyone needs to be here by 7:40 so I can get my son to school on time.
