    Moving annoucement

Well ... today is the day that I will be giving parents my moving information in a nice letter package. I've included all the benefits of the new place, with address, a map and a letter of termination if they choose not to follow. I'll be giving it at pick up so I hopefully have time to discuss it a little with the parents. Now I have one child that is being picked up by another family member ... Not sure how to deal with this on. I would like to talk to the parents and not juts hand out the letter but the morning is not very appropriate as they are often in a rush .. what do you suggest ?

I am so scared to loose my families. Just this past weekend I've received so many nice e-mails and compliments from them. I feel like I will disappoint them and I hate that. It's part of the business I guess.

If the family is normally picked up by parents can you wait till tomorrow to give the family the packet explaining that you didn't want to give it to family as you wanted to speak with them directly. Otherwise you may just have to give the packet asking them to pass it on but call or email the family letting them know to expect the packet and why then at least they will still get the same verbal message other families would be getting.

No the parents never pick up. I was going to send an e-mail this afternoon. I think it's my only option. Thanks playfelt ... just wanted to see if someone else had the same idea I had. haha So nervous I need some reassurance for this one.

Send them an email tonight explaining the move and let them know you will have a pkg for them in the morning!

Good advice but I was thinking at least if I tell them now they can discuss it tonight and talk with me tomorrow morning if they plan more time at drop off to chat. Everyone will know and I'll feel better that it's done ...

I use email a lot, so when I moved I just sent it out by email. Good luck! I lost all but one of my families when I moved last summer, but I expected that as the new neighbourhood is a good 15 minute drive from the old one in the opposite direction as most people have to go to work.
