I hate when parents 'tell' you what they are going to be doing. Like for example they will be bringing their kid earlier the next day, or saying they will be bringing their child on a day that they don't normally come. Now mind you i don't mind the extra cash, and i don't mind the child coming early since my first kid comes at 6.45 am 2 days a week and the other gets here at 7.15 am, but i think it's annoying when people don't even ask, they just 'tell' me. I know they way i run my daycare is a little more casual than some others run theirs, but i still have contracts, paperwork, etc. Except for one child, who is the daughter of a 'friend' couple from high school. Nice people, i love them and their kid and i always say yes when they need me earlier or an extra day, but sometimes they forget to 'ask'.
Then just tell them NO.
Your business - your rules.
If you let someone push you around once they will do it all the time.
Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
