I had one parent that loved to talk during pick up. I took care of it by having their child ready to go by the time they got to my house. I open my door, stand in the doorway, hand over child and diaper bag and say good bye. Done. And if parents starts blabbing, I say I need to go, politely but firmly and say it as I'm shutting the door.
