Wink I got my first Private Client

My first private client started today. He is only here for a month, but that's better then not having a client at all. They are paying me for the whole month at pick up today (or care is terminated). They don't speak very much English (only been in Canada a few months).

It is so hard to get any children in my area, that I so happy I finally filled my last spot even if it is just for the month.

The dcb doesn't speak much English and he is 2 1/2. But we seem to be able to understand each other so far.

Congrats! I know you have been looking for a while. I too have been filling spots with short term clients. It has worked for me as it has allowed me to have a bunch of older kids when I would otherwise have only babies.

Subsidy is still on a freeze so I am taking what i can get. The boy is great. He is very nice and plays well with the other kids. He had no problem at quiet time. Asleep in a few min. I think I made a good choice with this kid. Now its just to see if the parents pay me tonight. there had been a misunderstanding about when the pay was do (due to their lack of English) I think I made things clear this morning.

That's great, BlueRose, congrats! Let us know how payment time goes tonight. Hopefully it'll be taken care of without further issue.

Congratulations, I know this has been a long, difficult road for you but you are getting there, best wishes from me.

So last night she comes to pick up and tells me that she will pay me this morning. I am still waiting for her to show up. If she does not have my money she can not leave her kid here. I am so not in a good mood. She better have my money.

So the dad dropped off two weeks worth of pay and a very upset little boy. I am happy.

A few tips...

If you visited or if you're using a childcare provider found on DaycareBear, do not hesitate to leave a review. This will most certainly help other parents!
