Sand toys and fun water activity

I was at Ikea over the weekend and purchased some awesome sand toys. Not the cheap break really easily dollar store ones either. They have a few sets an ice cream scoop with plastic cones and plastic bowls, a baking set, a brick layer set as well as some awesome scoopers and long handled shovels. Hugely popular this week.

Something else cool that I made are some "sponge balls." you get soft rectangular sponges without scouring pads (Dollarama has packs of six that work well). Cut each sponge in four strips length wise and then tie 6 pieces together in the middle (kind of looks like a "koosh" ball made of sponges). Perfect for soaking and using for water play. Hold more water and are much more messy/fun then the ones you can buy with the covers. Not sure how long they will hold up though.
