Stat holiday pay? client vacation (do they pay when they are away)

Hi guys, Do I collect money for a care day if it falls on a stat holiday and I don't have the child?

When a family goes on vacation do they still pay me? Thanks!!!

That will depend on how your contract is written. Generally yes the stats are still paid days but at the same time if you give your cients days they don't pay full fees for during vacation time it won't count as one of their days.

You do it however you want, but put it in your contract and have the parents sign it. I some providers charge for stats, others don't (I don't). Some providers charge for families' vacation times, some don't. I give a certain number off days unpaid each year, and when they are used up they must pay for any additional missed days.
Decide what works best for you and then go from there.

I agree with the others. Most people sharge for stats, but that would have to be in your contract for parents to read and sign. If it is not in your contract, you may have to wait until contract renewal time and add it in.

For me stats are paid, and for VACAY's.. I have 2 weeks unpaid in the summer, 2 weeks paid at Christmas,( paid at only half their weekly rate) and when families have vacations they may take two weeks ( they pay half their weekly fees would be) after..

My clients pay full fees 49 weeks of the year but not for the 3 weeks I'm on vacation. Simple. If there is a stat/closed day it's listed clearly in my contract, so they pay for those as well as missed days for any reason.

If I'm Open, you pay full fees. Unless it's a Stat Holiday.

Again, have a contract and write it all down - then have the parents sign it. You can only enforce something if it's on paper!
