    Heat Wave

So, we're having a major heat wave here and one of my dcm brings in her kid in....sweats!!?? She even brought his jacket....just in case, she said. Is she crazy? lol Once she noticed all the other kids were dressed in shorts I think she realized just how silly she was putting her little one in sweats. Some parents.....

I have the opposite problem today!

It was quite nice here yesterday, but chilly and rainy today... And all my kids came in shorts and sandals! Not even the always-over prepared mom brought rubber boots! Geesh!

She probably has her air conditioning set to 20 degrees so has no idea that is is HOT out there! Those of you who have rain, don't feel too jealous...we are stuck inside anyway due to the extreme heat We got out for about 40 minutes this morning early, but it was already really hot and we didn't last long.

I don't envy you guys your extreme heat - however, I would appreciate SOME sunshine!! It's rainy here, but warm too, which just makes it muggy inside and out! It's awful! There hasn't been a good sunny day for us in WEEKS!!!! Rawr! It's summer alright! Good luck with all that sun and heat Keep everyone hydrated!

I sent a letter to the parents at the beginning of June asking for bathing suits etc. and specifically asked parents to check the weather forecast each day and to dress their children appropriately as the little ones do heat up quickly. Well, heat wave here and yup, multi layers, pants, sweats, socks. The kicker is the parents mention there is a change of clothes in their bags. At 8 am it was already 25 C. I don't have time to change every child. When the weather is obviously going to be HOT all day, dress them is what they will wear all day. Phew, that felt good. Thanks for the opportunity to vent FSD
