Angry Feeling very upset!!! Cannot belive. This mom!!!

    So upset I'm shaking!!

Omg!!! I've had this one mom for about 3.5 months.. She is always trying to skimp or get out of paying me, trying to cut corners..

I have one of her kids he is three not potty trained and I charge her 25/day for him when in my area the going rate is 30-35/ day., I don't get how some people can afford to make that a day, especially with all the home cooked and healthy meals, plus all the crafting materials ect..

    Anyways so he is 25/day
The other boy who is 5 and in school part time 3 days a week. I charged her 5/ for one hour in the morning and then 7 for an hour and a half in the afternoon.. That's pretty cheap considering that now I know it's paying for the spot not how long they are there for!!most people charge between 15-20/ a day for school age children..

This kid has colored on my tv, hard wood floors and been an all around pain in my ASS!! ( sorry).. I think he'd just two old for my age group which is 14mths-3yrs. He picks on other kids is not nice to my own kid..

Anyways I termed 2 weeks ago but there new daycare is not taking them until July 8.. And get this I told her on the Monday ( two weeks ago) I was terming and she had found someone the Thursday.. Soooo I think she was looking for new chikdcare anyways.. Because I was upping my rates come September..
This mom is a Cheepo!! I watch your kids all day get your oldest aff to the buss.. In the snow, rain ect!! I make sure they have fun and are fed.. Ect ect.. And you don't want to pay me my rates!!!!!

Anyways I wrote up a receipt last night to give her. My math was a bit off( but I think she'd tricking me one if the days she took kid to work, because it was I thought a pro d day but now shed saying it was a regular day of school!! Whatever I'm so done with this family!!

This morning she texts me what time does ( child) get on the bus in the morning and what time does he get there after school) ummmm excuse me!!! Now shed trying to nit pick hours and times so she has to pay less!!!

YOUR ALREADY PAYING LESS!!!! STOPP TRYING TO VE SO DARN CHESP!!!!!

All I can say is Shame on you mom for taking advantage!! Although it is my fault for signing this family on I should have kept looking!!!

And yesterday she asks so child didn't come two days this week do I have to pay for those days?? UMMMM YES YOU DO.. And I told her two..

Anyways rant over for now!! Thanks for listening.. Thankful today is Friday and that next week is there last week!!

    That sucks.

I think it's hilarious that the client doesn't know when the bus comes. I had one like that. She would even come and put him on and off the bus (which Is in front of my house) on days I didn't even have him. And would constantly text me "what time does the bus come" Such a joke.

At least you know it's almost over and you can move on to the next client. We learn a little bit more with each one we have to terminate.

Good luck, I hope next week flies by for you.

Hi Lou....I have had many like this & have lost sleep over confrontations with parents. Unfortunately We the provider always come out at the bottom! Regarding this person asking if she has to pay for times when her child is not there...I get postdated cheques for Mondays not Fridays ...for the month. Many times they simply don't think about paying us and think...oh well she can wait. Also, if it is getting close to the end of the month and the cheques are not here....I send an e-mail simply saying "I need cheques please & thank you" ....if payment doesn't come...I put a big note on the door. It reads: I need cheques from: and under this I put the persons name who has not paid me. Often they don't like that everyone sees this when they come & go and payment is promptly received

A shame we have to embarrass parents into paying isn't it but we do what we have to do. I have done the same thing with supplies such as putting up a sign saying all children need: sunhats, sunscreen, extra shorts and then list all of the names. I then cross them out as the supplies come. That way the parent only has themselves to blame if they are the last one and find it embarrassing. It works because no one wants to be last, lol.

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
