LOL- highly entertaining for all us uneducated bums who do nothing but sit around on our fat asses all day!! Get a life darasmom- you don't have anything better to do than insult child care workers? I have 5 years of education behind my belt and don't need anyone telling me I'm a glorified babysitter- it's because of us that parents can go out and work. We are loving, patient, caring and responsible people. Shame on you for your ignorance.

I would not justify my academic achievements or my job description to this person. She is clearly angry and anger comes from fear and insecurity. She is one of those persons who will put down others to make themselves feel better. Obviously she feels threatened. By what or who, who knows and I don't really care yet we seem to be representative of them. She is immature in the way she wants to incite anger to get attention. Just like a child who will do something bad just to get some sort of attention from a negligent parent. She is defensive as in "go ahead and ban(d) me", and then threatening "I'll be back"
I wouldn't want to live in her household.

No one could spend any time on this forum and think we are under-educated or overpaid. I had to stop working on my PhD to look after my elderly mother full-time, but doing undergrad degrees, an MBA and 1/2 a PhD was less work than running a daycare. Being a university professor was also less work. Now that I am retired and running my daycare, I truly appreciate what a blessing it is for parents to know their little ones are being nurtured in an environment run by competent and professional caregivers. Poor Darasmommy will never be able, in good conscience, to have her child in a daycare situation if she truly believes we are lazy, overpaid babysitters.

Meh, Ladies, I wouldn't worry about her. I was just being passive aggressive in my post. I was feeling a little edgy and thought I would respond to her nonsense. And when you break down the word "nonsense" you get NON-sense. Yeah, that's pretty much the gist of her posts.

Here's the thing about people like darasmommy.......we really should just ignore her. You know, just like a tantruming two year old. When someone, anyone, in real life, or on a forum are as angry or over-the-top as darasmommy they do not convey any sense of merit when they post. It's pretty hard to take someone seriously who can not formulate, and then type, an opinion that is supported by reasoning, statistics, or other measure of debate. To simply jump into any conversation, here or elsewhere, with a vehement rant simply makes the ranter look like a fool.

There is an art to expressing your opinion in a manner that is conducive to having others listen (read) to it. And darasmommy, through her vexing posts, simply puts the reader off and they then shut down to anything she has to say.

People are smart. They can see through the facade that appears as anger and animosity when really, underneath it all likely lies a sad, hurt, frustrated soul. Perhaps if darasmommy told us WHY she feels this way in a mature, adult manner we could actually help her - because HELP is, honestly, and genuinely, what I suspect she needs.

We should feel sorry for her......and then ignore her. Be the bigger people that I KNOW we are. She's just hurting and has found a venue to express her angst behind a computer screen. How sad. It must feel horrible to always be so angry.

Anyway, as Dodge said....back to the post.....

No, I would not allow them to store them on my property either. It's rude and it's an inconvenience to you. I wouldn't ask my dentist or my doctor or my kid's gymnastic centre to hold on to, or allow me to keep my wagon/stroller in front of their office. Why should YOU?

Parents want us to be professional and act like professional but then they want to do things like leave their crap at our house where they wouldn't ask that of other businesses. They can't have it both ways.

As I have said in previous posts, don't feed the trolls.

Unfortunately even as a mod my rights on the site are limited. I have contacted the admin and requested their attention on the matter.

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
