No one could spend any time on this forum and think we are under-educated or overpaid. I had to stop working on my PhD to look after my elderly mother full-time, but doing undergrad degrees, an MBA and 1/2 a PhD was less work than running a daycare. Being a university professor was also less work. Now that I am retired and running my daycare, I truly appreciate what a blessing it is for parents to know their little ones are being nurtured in an environment run by competent and professional caregivers. Poor Darasmommy will never be able, in good conscience, to have her child in a daycare situation if she truly believes we are lazy, overpaid babysitters.
