    It's funny that you use the "where are my eyes" to get them to look at you. I use... "where's my nose" to refocus them. Not in a situation where they're not listening, just in a situation when I need them to refocus on what they're doing. Works every time.

    haha! Yeah, well I just figured that when people are having a conversation, it's polite to look poeple in the eyes when your talking to them. It's the first thing that came to my head to say to her.

    After tantrums or timeouts I get them to hold my hands and we look into each other's eyes and have a talk about what happened. I've been doing that for years (well decades if you count my own kids) and it works well.
