    Goodbye gift ideas?

Only a couple more weeks until I shut down completely and I am wondering if I should do some kind of "goodbye" gift for the kids/families? I have had the same group of 4 kids since I opened in December and some I was their very first caregiver! The parents know how much I care and appreciate them but wondering I should put time into making something for them? I was thinking of a photo album but all the pictures I have of the kids the parents have already seen as I post them to a private group. Should I do a card?! Thanks for the tips!

How about a framed photo of you with the kids and a card with all the kids handprints/photos

I'm a scrapbooker so I take tons of pictures of the children at daycare from their first day to their last and spend a couple of weeks making them a history of their daycare life in a scrapbook for them to keep forever. But you probably don't want to do that.

You can buy a good sized canvas at the dollar store, have them all use a different paint colour and put their handprints on the canvas side by side then make them look like butterflies. Add the names of each of the children beside their hands. I've done that before.

I like the frame idea but I would probably try and have a photo taken of you with just each of the children. Maybe use more like the mat type frames you get from a photographer than the kind to hang on the wall. Put the picture of you and then a little card or note on the other side giving dates they were in your daycare and how much you enjoyed caring for them. Down the road it will mean something to them.

For my siblings that are leaving soon I'm going to do a framed (or canvas) picture of all the kids plus a CD of all the pictures I've taken of them.

    Had to add this!

I found this at target (in the Canadian stores, but you can't order online in Canada yet), and bought the 3 they had, now I'm waiting for more to come in.

I couldn't get the picture to work, hopefully the link will!

I plan to put a picture of the child in the frame portion, and all their extra artwork (beyond what goes home every day) and a CD of their pics when the kids leave. Too cute!
