    Grumble grumble

I'm with wee watch and I really like being licensed but holy I wish they'd give me more info sometimes. I'm doing backup care this week for a little girl, and I assumed she would arrive you know 7:30-8:30 and stay until 4:30-5. But every day she's supposed to be here 9:30 or so, but twice she comes right in the middle of naptime. I didn't even think she was coming today because we waited all morning, so I fed all the kids and put them down and kiddo is on her way over now. If I'd known I was going to get a child right after everyone went to sleep I would have said no thanks. She is a sweet enough child but I need my afternoon rest period to prep and eat. Also, I wanted to go for a walk this morning on the nature trail with the kids to collect rocks for a craft for the afternoon and since I had no idea when (or if) this child was showing up today we stayed in. bleurg.

This is why I never, ever, do temp care. It always turns out to be a big mistake. You get a little set in your ways as a dcprovider. You have a routine and you like things done a certain way. And, oh, how you look forward to that little bit of a break at naptime. So, yes, when someone throws a wrench in your day it can make you crazy.

A few tips...

If you visited or if you're using a childcare provider found on DaycareBear, do not hesitate to leave a review. This will most certainly help other parents!
