    Holiday Party and concert

So I thought it might be nice to have a holiday party and concert. Really just a chance to have the parents see some of what their kid has been learning etc. Now I am stuck really what to have the kids do for their "performance." I am not expecting much from them and I doubt the parents will. I figure have them sing along to "jingle Bells? and ring some bells, maybe "jingle bell rock" would be more fun. Started making antlers for the kids to sing "Rudolph." Other simple/cute ideas?

I loved when my daughters daycare centre did this and it was so cute and I got all teary eyed at their performance of basically standing there.

I went to my daughter's pre-school "concert" yesterday. They sang a few songs (pretty much just the teacher did lol). we then had cookies and juice and santa stopped by. that was it.

All I am doing for daycare is having Santa come for about a half hour next week. I don't have any parents involved because usually the kids act up when the parents are here. I will take pictures and print them out to put in the Christmas cards the kids make for their parents.

That is exactly what we are doing. One of the dads has agreed to be Santa.

My kids that will be here for the concert are 3.5, 3.5, 3, 22 mos and 20 mos

I had my daycare party this past Saturday. I rented the OEYC, had a reindeer food activity for kids and their parents, hired a Santa and put on a buffet. It was a wonderful party and I host it every Xmas. I was also thinking of doing a summer beach party where parents and kids come and play together at a beach themed party in the back garden. As for a concert, unless I had an age group of exclusively 3+ I would not do a concert. I think it's a little unrealistic for it to go smoothly. We still sang Christmas songs as a group at the party but otherwise it sounds like something for kindergarten and older.

    Jingle, Jingle Little Bell
    (Tune: Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star)

    Jingle, jingle, little bell,
I can ring my little bell.
    Ring it high,
    Ring it low.
    Ring it fast,
    Ring it slow.
    Jingle, jingle, little bell,
I can ring my little bell.

    Jingle, jingle little bell,
I can ring my little bell.
    Ring it left,
    Ring it right.
Even ring it out of sight (behind back).
    Jingle, jingle, little bell.
I can ring my little bell.
