Unfortunately you should have held your tongue because now your the one out the money .... You could have kept him till oct and you would not have been out the income and you would have had time to find a replacement. Also in that time they may have changed their minds. All kinds of things could have happened. Maybe they wouldn't have been able to find a child care together .... And if this child was leaving in oct does that mean the cousin was going to be starting care then too? I think you probably could have made some compromise with the cousins.
