Am I in an alternate Daycare universe?!

The 3.5yr old that I termed for aggressive behaviour and biting...First day he is not here and it is utter utopia over here. My Gawd, is this what I've been missing out on since he started almost 2 years ago?? This is wonderful. Peaceful. All the kiddos are so....peaceful, playing beautifully. No tears, no fights, no stress. I should have done this months ago

I mentioned in a previous post how the departure of same age dcb has made everyone, myself included, so much happier. It is amazing how we get used to working under the cloud a disruptive child put us under. Enjoy this wonderful time of peace in your daycare.....you just never know when things will take a turn LOL

Also look at the make up of the group now - age, sex, personality. Often it is the oldest or youngest in care that is the primary issue or often the one that is sort of left out once you factor in age, sex, interests. While in theory there might only be 6-12 months between kids in age it is a lifetime in developmental stage and some don't mix as well as others.

But for sure once we gain back all of the minutes we spent dealing with that one child and the other children don't have to suffer through us dealing with each other that everyone breathes a sign of relief.

I totally understand that peace. I terminated an almost 3 yo aggressor in March, and I immediately went back to loving my job.

A few tips...

If you visited or if you're using a childcare provider found on DaycareBear, do not hesitate to leave a review. This will most certainly help other parents!
