I think some times parents are so busy with their own lives during the week they miss what's happening with their kids. She may not have noticed the raspy, or just chalked the sneezing up to allergies... or maybe she didn't hear him do it at all.
Some of my parents pick up at 5:30/6 and put to bed by 7. If it's not bath night then there isn't really a lot of one on one interaction. In the morning they're up, dressed, in the high chair eating while mom's doing her make up then scooped up and off to daycare we go.
I'm not ignoring the fact that there are many dose and droppers out there. I've had them myself.
But I think the bigger problem is that parents just aren't spending time with their kids at night.
If I get inconsolable crying, the child goes home. 1. I can't be holding a child that's inconsolable all afternoon. 2. if they're inconsolable and it's out of their character then something is wrong.
