    Oh So Sad.....

I find this terribly sad, and I'll bet I'm not the only one who 'gets' this. I'm completely exhausted. Vacation is still 4 months away, and being a bit longer and more expensive than my typical trips, I'm trying not to book anything off in the interim. However, my dermatologist has found a little bit-o basal cell carcinoma on my face which needs to be removed. Here's how I connect the dots:

Skin cancer + mandatory surgery = time off from work with no guilt!!! While all my friends are speaking in hushed tones about the "C" word around me, asking if I'm ok with tilted heads, all I can think about is having several days off with the good drugs! Woo hoo! Am I missing something? This is really no big deal, right? I've taken it so lightly, my sister found out in a group email to my clients and my daughter found out via text message. I forgot to even tell most of my friends, some of whom are dropping in on me unexpectedly with gifts.

This is really nothing....or so I've been led to believe....right? Have I missed something crucial? I've made light of it totally...will use it to get out of doing dishes with my kids.

I GET A FEW DAYS OFF TO DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING (in a heavily mediated state)!!! AND, Awesome New Guy is coming to take care of me (I smell a foot rub coming), AND I'm not allowed to do any housework, AND I can sleep whenever I want, AND...........this might be awesome!

I might be too excited about surgery. So very sad.

A few tips...

If you visited or if you're using a childcare provider found on DaycareBear, do not hesitate to leave a review. This will most certainly help other parents!
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
