    Everyone is sick

I have 3 little ones with me today and all of them have the same cold I also have it. Everyone is still playing and not whiney, but you can tell they're feeling this cold as much as I am I'm thinking a movie day is in order

What do you guys do when you're sick, but not sick enough to close?

We have been battling it for 2 weeks now. Eye, throat, ear infections. All kids have been away one day or another but of course never all the same day. Now it just seems to be bad colds with lots of runny noses. I feels like my turn is coming! I just continue with our usual routine except I tend to leave the TV on longer in the morning. We still do everything the same. My sick policy says if they aren't well enough to participate in the day's activities they should be at home.

I hate this time of year! But I keep thinking it could always be worse! I would rather have kids with colds than kids throwing up.

Sounds like a quiet day is called for. I usually do a pasta dish with a side of protein for lunch and then settle them all down for a nice long nap. The lunch makes sure they have a comfy full tummy for nap and the carbs help them sleep. When they sleep, then you rest. Tomorrow is the weekend, you can clean up then.

Lots of colds here as well. I have had a sinus headache most of the week too. I am so glad it's Friday because I am so tired of wiping runny noses, gross sneezes and stinky sick poops lol.

We tend to stick to the same routine for the most part but I cut back outside time depending on the mood. I don't have the tv on very much so sometimes I will turn that on for a treat and a break for me.

I never really thought about the pasta thing, but it makes sense! Today we are having leftover homemade cabbage beef vegetable soup but I may make some pasta to throw in there too!!

    Same thing here too!
This is round 2 of the "cold" this month which for some has resulted in croup, ear and chest infections.
I am also 18 weeks pregnant.
I have changed my sick policy now. I realize colds are common and go around. However, if its a Monday morning or the child has been away I am now asking parents to check with me first before sending their child with cold symptoms. If there is a cold going around already here, they may send them as long as the child can participate, if no one else is sick here please keep them home.

I used the tv today to watch youtube music videos on the wii and they loved having a dance party with videos (usually I just turn it to the radio station on tv but it's a black screen) They loved it!

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
