Starting to dislike my job

I don't know if its the season , or hormones or just frustration , but I'm so tired of dcparents !!! I feel like every time I'm to be paid I have families coming to me with complaints !! I mean its like they are resentful that they have to pay and then use that to bounce off several issues . They do not complain about my care of their children , just stupid things !!! Ie this is alot of money .... My pay check was short this is killing us ,"
I finally said to one family , is this your notice then ? Because I feel about ready to be done myself !!(didn't tell them the last part ) but Friday I had 3 families that pulled it !!' One family I terminated full time , one family is bringing their two dcgs but giving me the stink eye and her boyfriend now is coming to the door ??
I feel I'm doing a awesome job with the kids and putting alot of energy , time , and money into my program and I'm not getting complaints about my care I'm getting flack about how much they have to pay ??
To get started I charged alot less then I could of and was going to give everyone a rate increase to $35 a day but now I'm afraid I will lose most of them !!' And part of me is ok with it !!!
I feel like they see me as a relatives house !! Like I owe them something , one dcm said 'I know you love j---- '
Um you are a job , I really like my dck !!!! I do , but this is a job too !!
I'm ready to just increase everyone and then deal with the consequences !!!! There is no jobs right now and I have a time limit I'm going to continue in this area ( no one will come with me ) so part of me wants to close !!
I'm good at this job , I either suck horribly with parents or my parents suck , it's one of us !!!!!!

It sounds like you have some immature and unrealistic clients. If you don't have trouble finding clients, why not increase to where you think you should be and let the chips fall where they may. Otherwise, if clients are hard to come by, I would have a chat with these complainers and tell them it is unfortunate they feel they are paying to much as your rates are competitive and your outstanding care, program and menu justifies it. Then start advertising to replace.

Thanks !!! I'm looking at replacements for sure but it's soo slow !! I hate having to justify myself !!! And I hate dealing with someone else's drama , ie today at pick up , dcm boyfriend picked up dcg , mom was in truck , I opened the door and said hi !! No response !!!!! So I said , um hi !!! !!!
He looks up , hi . Dcg started to cry , he says why are you crying ? (I don't know why she started crying , but when he walked up she started ) I said , oh ------ did you want to stay and I stuck my tongue out to tease her and she starts to laugh and he walks away !!!
No good bye , nothing !! Drop off is the same !!! Hello , no answer , they only talk to the dck !!! I'm in no mood to deal with it tonight but its getting ridiculous !

It's really sad that we are so unappreciated. I notice one of my parents have been giving me the cold shoulder this week. I know why, and its absolutely ridiculous. I would ask for post-dated cheques. I would also find a replacement family. Good luck Secondtimearound
