It will depend on the amount of mat leave the parent gets and when they have to go back to work. Most parent's get a year mat leave but depending on when they started will affect when their child starts daycare.

I have had children as young as 8 months but I find that most are 11-12 months old.

Most parents seek a carer when their mat leaves ends which is usually after 12 months. 80% of the children I've had in my care have joined me close to their 1st birthday.

Occasionally, it will be a few months earlier if the parents need to go back to work sooner for financial reasons, usually but can be because one is in FT school and the new school year begins. I also get children who are new to the area but this isn't normally their first day care experience.

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
