New crop of providers in my area charging WAY less with longer hours?

Every once in a while to keep up I check on here under the listings to see what other providers are charging, their hours etc to remain competitive.
Well I noticed that about 5 new ones have popped up since my last check, all charging at least $5 less a day and with WAY longer hours! I am talking 12 hour days and even one is listed open from 6am-11pm. What are these people thinking???

    Thanks Mickeyc.

I couldn't believe my eyes! They definitely won't last long and will burn out especially if they have young children of their own. Yikes!

As I've said before, I don't know how they do it on low wages and long hours. I assume their finances are better than mine! However, I guess it's no different than any other business that provides a service. There are differences in fee's for painters, nail salons, hair dressers, mechanics, massage therapists, bakeries, etc etc etc. I choose to go to places like that with a fair price and quality work and I hope that parents view daycares with that same mentality. Thankfully, that has been my experience so far.

I also read a point on here that makes sense too. If you are just starting out as a business, you will likely charge less than those that have been doing it for longer.

I pay attention to what others are charging so I can keep up but for those that charge less than I do, I don't worry about it. I am confident in my services and have picked fee's that will allow me to stay in business. If they want to go to a cheaper dc that is fine with me! There are times I choose the cheaper services too Sometimes it bites me in the butt and sometimes it's a great pay off!
