    I had a little girl who would rash up on the face if and when she cried hard enough. At first I worried but when I told the Mom she said she always rashes like that if she cries hard.

    I agree, the redness/rash could be from all that crying, the tears and snot. Think of it this way- if the child is constantly crying, you be constantly wiping their face/nose, right? Some kids are more sensitive than others, and although Kleenex is generally soft, all it takes is a few good wipes before your nose goes red. I also find that the skin of some really fair kids tends to go red and blotchy when they cry, especially when they cry excessively.
