This is my first post here on daycare bear....
I started up my daycare about 6 months ago. the kiddo's I got were all the same age range and were getting along and growing up so well together. I Have to move out of my current house now and have had to find a new place to liveI'm really upset by this. The new place ive found is only 6 minutes from my current place but I will be loosing 3 of my current daycare kids. I have only been set up and running a daycare for the past 6 months but through reading a lot on the different forums here, and learning the ropes by seeing what doesn't work lol, I know I need to now change my contract. I was going to continue to offer the same "deal" to the child that is left but the DCM now wants a discounted rate as she will now have to drive out of her way to pick up and drop off her child and it is not on the route home. Obviously I thought this was ridiculous, and told her I couldn't do that and now she has threatened to find other care. That means stating from scratch all over again
The current contract is too flexible, it allows me to be taken advantage of and all around isn't the best...Do I make her sign the new contract? or how do you go about changing policy, even if I wasn't moving?
