How much/what to include for B/A school care?

Having FINALLY terminated my problem family of 2 siblings, I'd like to fill their spots with B/A school kids. I already have my own 1-year-old and a 1-year-old dck home all day, as well as a B/A school dck and my own 2 school-age kids, and the idea of keeping my day light and actually being portable (a double stroller fits on the bus and down sidewalks a lot better than a huge one does) is very appealing to me.

Average rates here are pretty low, between $25-$30 for a full day of care, with some advertising $35, although they seem to be constantly advertising. I currently charge $15 a day for B/A school, including a snack after school. Drop-off at 7:30 and pickup by 5pm - this family is great! I'd like to ideally up that to $20 a day, extending hours to maybe 7am-5:30 or even 6pm if I had to, since older kids are easier at keeping themselves occupied while I get dinner started.

Anyone charge that much? $20 seems a bit high to me, and I'm not sure I'd get it, but the school just sent home a notice saying care B/A care through the school would be $21 a day, and $30 a day for PA days, with the parents providing lunch. The hours the school is offering for PA days are less than on school days, which doesn't make sense to me-if you need care from 7:30-6pm on school days, how would you manage PA day care only being 8-5, which is what the school is offering?

I've been looking on kijiji in my area though, and just saw someone advertising B/A school care at $15 a day, $25 for 2 kids, and including BREAKFAST and a snack. I've never included breakfast. Cost-wise, I wouldn't make any money, even at $20 a day, offering breakfast and a snack - some 6 year olds can eat a ton!

Thoughts? Is $20 a day too high, if I'm still beating out the school prices? Do other B/A school providers provide breakfast?

My hours are 7am-5pm. Say drop off is 7am, school starts 8:30, pick up is 5pm school pick up is 3pm. Also depends on if you are serving breakfast, and afternoon snack and how much crafts/supplies you need for child as well as your time and energy walking in inclement weather to pick them up, and possibly wake babies from their naps.

Most people in my area charge $15 for before OR afterschool but $25 for BOTH.

I charge $250/mth without PD days. PD days are an extra $30/day. My fees include an afternoon snack. I ask the kiss bring their lunch on PD days (just as if they were going to school or camp), I provide morning and afternoon snack.

I did a flat rate of $25 per day regardless if they only needed mornings or afternoons, or both. I gave 2 snacks. The going full day rate here is $40-50 a day. I still found it wasn't worth it as they ate like horses, and I did a craft too(and then behaviour was a whole new bag of worms.)Full day's rate for PA days.

I don't offer care to school aged kids.... but I have my own school agers and they are STARVED when they come home. Therefore, I would be more inclined to charge more than $15. And then what if they are doing crafts, etc? Supplies would be pricey, too.
