I actually love when the parents say "okay, you can stay here for the night" because the children will say "okay" and smile and wave goodbye LOL. I also love when they say "thank you" at the end of the day. I have one family who is great at everything but they always say "thanks for babysitting" and it drives me crazy LOL but I guess it would be weird to say "thanks for being a good dcp" or "thanks for daycaring" everyday haha.
Ouch ! That would kill me. I cringe at that word.
I think I would find a way to jokingly say something back each time to hint that I am not the babysitter.... I.e...."I don't think anyone has called me a babysitter since I was 16."

I appreciate the Thank you's and when parents try to teach their kids to say thank you at the end of the day but that babysitter bit would probably drive me up the wall day by day. lol
