Hopefully they keep her home.....if she has a virus then they wouldn't give her antibiotics...there must be more to it. Although I know taking time off for a sick child may be difficult especially when returning to work initially after mat leave but it would have probably been in the best interests of everyone if she didn't start till she was better. Transition periods can be hard enough without a sick 1 year old. This may make the whole transition time longer and harder as the child started off on a rough note from day one. Hopefully things go smoother for you in the coming days/weeks.
