Thanks everyone i started this weekend and i feel great already. I'll try during nap time this week and see if that works. I started with cardio workout DVD and my husband took my elliptical out from storage. I think I will alternate between the two.

If anyone else is in the same boat we could always encourage each other. DCP workouts...lol

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

I tried to post yesterday and it didn't go through... I was going to say the same thing as playfelt- I have ample time to exercise during nap but I can't really shower after. I was thinking to try sitting on the front step to cool off, or even use my blow dryer on the cool setting, and just dry my face and hair off and change my clothes... then shower after the kids go home.

On the plus side, it REALLY warmed up over here this weekend so I think I'll attempt walking to the school to pick up my daughter this week. That way nap is already over and the kids won't be tired enough to fall asleep in the stroller. If I go early, they can play in the field while we wait for school to get out also.

I'm all for a thread discussing fitness I have a bridesmaids dress I want to look decent in come August

I have no kids at home and really have to keep the pace up to clean the house and get supper ready and eaten before 8:00. I try to work out on my not so busy nights after dinner which is sometimes difficult with a full tummy but it's really the only time I have available. But I think Mimi's idea of doing some sort of heart pumping activity. I've also heard that it's more beneficial to do spurts of heart pumping activity which I could manage. I'm going to see how that works out tomorrow.

I have 2 children and started working out after they went to bed. At first it was really hard to get started. My husband was in the Navy and gone away more then he was home and I had to do everything by myself. At the end of the day I was tired and all I wanted to do was sit down and enjoy the quite. I had to force myself of the couch, now I look forward to it. It has become a stress relief for me. Once you figure out a plan that works for you it becomes a part of your everyday routine.

For me, I do my workouts as soon as I put my son down to bed at night at 8:00 or my husband puts him to bed and I go downstairs to start my workout at 7:30. For some people they have a hard time working out at night because it keeps them awake but it doesn't really affect me. I wish I could do it in the mornings to start my day off and then it would be done however I have never been a morning person and honestly I don't think I ever will be

If you do workout at night just be careful because it's easy to get lazy once the dinner mess is cleaned up to flop on the couch and not want to move after. I go weather I feel like it or not and when I am having the mental argument in my head that I don't want to work out because I'm tired even though I know that I should. I just go because I know it's the right thing to do. Plus, I know that I will feel better afterwards.

I found a really great website called fitness blender.com and it's completely free. You can pick any type of workout that you want to do whether it's cardio, HIIT, kettle bell, pilates, etc and you can pick the intensity and the length that you want and also if you want a warm up/cool down included. I LOVE IT!! I do it between 3-6 days a week and I never get bored because I can always change it up and you can also save your favourite workouts so that you can go back to them. It's a really good website AND it's free!!!.

    week one :D

Thank you so much godsgirl, I will definitely check out that website. I get bored too when I do the same thing every time.

I did my workout during nap time today! I did a 48 minutes turbo workout. Felt great! I've neglected my health over the last 2 years as I've had many challenges and now that things are back to normal, it feels great to get back to it I will try to continue and on days that isn't possible I will do it at night.

For those of you who are interested in supporting each other, there is no place for a group discussion, we will have to use this post.

Thanks everyone. I love to read all your replies! It keeps me motivated.
