I commend you, bright sparks! I also have anxiety issues and they really make life hard at times. You did really well thinking outside the situation, you caught yourself before spiraling out of control. Good for you!I hope the mindfulness cd helps. For me, I find that when I'm in the middle of an anxiety attack I pray. I also try and remember that it's my stupid body fighting me and it will be over soon lol. But let me tell you if my kid was missing for even a minute I would be in a different state... That's terrifying. I'm glad it turned out ok and that you are recovering. You are a great mom!
