So how is everyone doing lately? I'm taking some positive steps towards a healthier lifestyle...quite literally. My phone has a built in pedometer and today was the first day I got the stroller loaded up and went for a walk with my crew. I got 6000 of my daily 10k steps in by 10am I would love to do this daily as I got a really good sweat on...eww I know lol, and really got some rapid breathing going on as I pushed the stroller up and down some hills so I think I got a half decent cardio session in. I am going to get a monitor to keep track of it. I'm knackered now but feel great to be honest.

From a nutritional perspective I signed up for loads of free classes at my local Goodness Me store. Last night was my first and I have two more this week and intend to go as frequently as possible. Last nights class was about Liver detoxification and the speaker was a local ND. I have an appointment next week to meet with a new ND but have decided to cancel and now have an appointment with this woman. For those of you familiar with my post history, I have mentioned that I suffer from endometriosis and also PTSD. I have a whole host of health issues which really stem from not taking care of myself and they really just do a great job of making each other that much worse. I am very optimistic that the ND can help me as she used a couple of examples last night on how supporting the liver can have such phenomenal results in treating hormone and women's health issues amongst so many other things. I spoke with her after and she has a lot of experience working with PCF and endo. I knew a lot of what she spoke about in terms of supplementation and healthy eating but learning what common ailments are clear indications of a toxic liver was absolutely fascinating. Some of the other classes I am attending are skincare-what's toxic and what's not; breast health; natural treatments for stress, depression and anxiety; anti-inflammatory eating and a heavy metal and toxin elimination class too. There are so many different classes almost daily at all locations and I highly recommend people within driving distance of a store look into these free classes. They are all presented by ND's, RHNP's and other healthcare professionals. I absolutely love this stuff and had considered going to school for nutrition but its one of those careers where earning a full time wage is something that most graduates don't make even after 5 years in the field and with kids and a mortgage its just something I learn about for general interest instead.
