I agree with everyone. No need for me to repeat... lol. I think what you did is a good business practice keeping all communication lines open and honest.

Thanks guys! We are all pretty close with each other and all the parents know all the kids by name because whenever the parents come to the door they all run up to say 'hi!'. I didn't think I did anything wrong but my hubs got me second guessing myself. I pride myself on having an open door policy and like many of you mentioned because we are such a small group we are all close with one another. So much so that even on holidays all of the parents get a treat for all of the other children. These 2 children that left were a HUGE part of our group. I'm still in shock that they left so abruptly. I feel almost as if I'm mourning because the house is soooooo quiet without them around . I have never had this happen before and I can officially say that this is the junkiest part of this job.

That must be hard. I'm sure I will have to go through that at some point. Why did they leave so suddenly? If you don’t mind me asking.

Hope you feel better soon and hope you fill your spots soon.

Sometimes it is really hard on us when the children leave. I have cried when some have left and jumped for job with others LOL.
