I'm used to such kids at my child care organization. All what I do is give them the assurance that I'm right there and everything is in control. I've had kids who are so adamant out of fear that they wouldn't care to even look at other kids. But I have witnessed them coming out of their shells gradually, and gel with other kids. They are after all, kids! Give them some time to assimilate!
